The messgae this number left today was automated.....they say they are a company called Weltman, Weinberg, & Reese. I looked them up and they have nothing but a bunch of rip off reports and scam claims! Don't answer or at least make them send something in writing if you dont want to avoid them!
I've been getting calls the last two mornings at around 8am. They are unknown caller on the caller ID. I was getting a recording saying my name and if you are this person press 1 to acknowledge you are this person. I finally did press one only to see who the hell was calling and was getting angry about being woke up as I am up late at night and can't leave the ringer off due to an elderly mother who needs to call and kids who when they call from school shows up as unknown caller. They said they were from West Bay aquisitions and then said to verify it was me they were going to say the last 4 of my social. (I don't give my social out to wierdos like that either and the numbers they rattled off were wrong and I told them so. They said so there isn't another person with your name there? NO. So they hung up and not an hour or two later this number calls with the same type recording and asking for someone else. I am really fixing to go off on someone. This is rediculous.
here's how you deal with theiving churls like this one from the 201 area code: You get on your GMAIL and click the phone receiver icon which allows free phone calls throughout the US. The perp will see only some Los Angeles number on his caller ID; a number which they can't trace or call back. I called this apostate 50 times today just to break chops and I do believe they are getting pissed off...exactly my goal. If just 5% of the victims do this, he'll soon be paying so many people to answer his phones that it will no longer be a profitable scam.
When I called this number and ask what company it is all I get is that it's a private company and they are located out of Springfield, Illinois. Hmmm that's funny the number comes up from New Jersey. I suspect a bill collector.
