TechHead, You rock! That is the legal way to do things! As my mother always said, "Keep it legal, Mr. Siegal."

If you ever need any procedural advice(my degree is in Legal Assisting), drop me a line at [email protected]

Quite nice of you to do what you did. I respect that.

I just got a call from that number and it is 11pm.  I can't believe they would call this late.  I thought something happened to someone, because I never get calls this late.  And of course as listed before, they hang up when you answer.  Isn't it against the law for collection agencies to call after a certain time.  I wish they would stop calling, now they are calling at 11 at night.

Yep it sure is illegal to call after certain time.  For more information on the laws that govern debt collection go to: www.fair-debt-collection.com/fair-debt-act

Thanks Spice.  I will definitely check that site out.  I just never had a collection agency call that late.  I get calls from alot of weird numbers.  My past isn't the greatest, but the majority of the calls are for the people who used to live here.  2 years later.

I don't even answer my home phone because it's always for people who probably had this number 3 years ago! I told these people this over and over and they promise they will take me out of their system. Yeah right, I still get phone calls all day and night for other people!!! Such crap! This particualr number in question calls every other minute allllll day long! I am sick of it!
