I feel sorry for the people who have no other choice than to work for this company. They called my business number and then asked for me by name, even though my company and phone number have no electricity services associated with it. Our business is on the do not call list and they are getting our info from some business list that is not associated with a power company. The lawmakers who passed the competitive energy provider law really did not think how this law is being used in an unlawful manner and they certainly do not care how many people are inconvenienced. I am sure there is some NJ politician who is very proud that they helped save us consumers money on our electricity, well this consumer is fed up with their "help".
First time they called, I picked up, said hello and no one was there. They immediately called back, my husband answered. They started with their spiel of the electric rebate from JCP&L. My husband interrupted the caller and asked to be removed from the calling list and the caller replied, that is not going to happen.....wrong thing to say to my husband, let's just say, we do not think they will be calling back.
I just received a call from this phone number 201-680-7344 which comes up as a Jersey City number. The woman on the phone said she was from APG and needed to speak to the owner about a time sensitive matter. I told her the owner was not in she then asked for a manager I told her twice I can take a message. She demanded the owner's phone number I told her I can not give that info out but I can take a message. She was persistent in trying to obtain a cell phone number. When I took the message she gave me the number 1-800-210-9011 ext 9764. When I asked her for more details she got a little nasty claiming it was for a business account. When I asked her which one she said she could not disclose that information with me and that she was just trying to do her job like I'm trying to do mine. Then she demanded a call back by the end of the week. I will not be calling them and next time they call I am demanding my phone number to be taken off their list.
