Yes, I just received a call about this today, This is for a SSL cert renewal reminder as I use them, the company is actually THAWTE which resells SSL certs

Thawte is a different company than comodo.  Thawte was bought out by verisign.

Did the caller say that they were calling from Thawte? That number is a Comodo phone number

Thawte and Comodo are two completely seperate companies.  They each sell SSL but are in no way connected to each other.

I work for Comodo, we are a legitimate company.  We have offices world wide and offer internet security through SSL certificates.  Its not a scheme, we secure big companies like microsoft, johnson and johnson, makeawish.org, obamas website and many more.  Go to google trends and put our companies name in.
