11/23/09 Call from Jim Kilroy has someone who is interested in buying my business??? I am glad that I googled this guy. With the info I see here it is not wasting one's time. The number they gave to call was 201-793-0803
I also received a call from Jim Kilroy 2 days ago. I left 2 messages for a call back, because I do want to sell my business. A girl named Heather called me back, and asked a bunch of questions. She set up Tues. Feb. 2 for a webinar with a rep from HDI. I had serious reservations about this whole setup. She said I could go to www.bizbuy123.com, which I did, and it was all propaganda about HDI. She did say there was no upfront money involved, and at least a 6% collection at the time of sale. I will ask her more questions when she calls again. I was already scammed of $5000 from a company in Minn. called Western Business in 2001.

The individuals involved are currently under investigation for defrauding over 700 businesses over the last two years as Corporate Acquisitions Group, and Global Acquisitions, under the control of a known felon, Tyrone Tymkovich.
I had received via email numerous pages about HDI and what would be asked for during an appraisal. 3 yrs tax return and P&N statements. There was a question on the paper that stated what would be the cost for an appraisal.
It certainly sounds like there would be a charge. I asked Rich Schafer about this and he got very rude and defensive. He complained that I did not call him back after he called me twice on the weekend. Hmmmm, I do not, after 27 yrs do business on weekends, especially when i'm 180 miles from my office. He seemed offended by this. Said he would have another agent work with me. I have become very cautious.
Recieved the same kind of call. Set up the appointment and went throught the process talking ot length with Rick Scheaffer
They want $4200.00 to do a business evaluation. Wondering if this is a scam. Has anyone gone this far with them?
They say no other costs are involved.....Hmmmmm
Do Not Deal with HDI Consulting! Got taken by their scam of over pricing evaluations, $3900.00. Have visited with several local business brokers who laughed at this "over killed" evaluation. Was originally
contacted by HDI for over eight months saying they had a buyer interested in purchasing our business. After paying the $3900.00 for the evaluation, time passed. Finally called Rick Shaeffer to find out what was going on, seemed like a scam. He reassured me it was not and would make a call to Adam Smith.
In an e-mail from Mr. Smith, he randomly through in the message that the buyer that was so interested all these months, backed out, hmmmmm, I smell scam! These son of [***] need to go down, how dare them take advantage of hard working business owners. This is how these lazy fat [***] scum bags make their money! They never even presented the name, address and phone number of this potential buyer. What a lesson learned. The world is full of scavengers.
