They have called me about 20 x in the last few days. I asked them to please stop calling and the man (Indian accent) yelled at me saying, "I will not stop calling you". Telling me I have been chosen for a free grant.
I answer the phone and no one is saying nothing I said hello and still nothing. so I hang up then they called back 10 more times and do the same thing. these phone calls are starting at 10 o'clock in the morning and ending at 9 o'clock at night. this is getting ridiculous
i got the same call from these people, i felt it was a scam but i kind of wanted to see how far these people would go. i never gave them any personal information throughout the call but somehow they had my mailing address, birthday and email address, pretty much everything. at first they asked me to verify my birthday and mailing address but i said: no i dont know you dont have it and im giving you information. so he read it off to me and it was all correct. i didnt give him an inch but he knew me better than my person banker guy. he never asked me for my social which scares me because he had all my other information and he never asked me for credit card information. so i bought identity guard services today.. im not going to risk it. i tried calling back for 2 days and i havnt got any response.
Got that lovely Indian speaking man who stated he was from the Fed Govt and if I didn't pay him the money I owed he would come arrest me.
This was my response. Sir how about this...you meet me at my place of employment and serve me this so called warrant you have for my arrest. Then when you do...I will then gladly place you in handcuffs and charge you with impersonating law enforcement.
He then was like you can't arrest me.
I said actually Sir I can...since I'm a cop and you aren't. Oh and you do realize I've already traced this call.
