I have started hanging up FIRST, the second they say the word warranty or ask about my vehicle, I just hang up first, that's what they are going to do to you the minute you say no.
I would reccomend never calling numbers back. Had an experience once called the number back and got a 1000$ charge to my phone bill for calling an out of country number (even thou it was a 10 digit number with no country code prefix... strange right... but the phone company removed it still thou it's a part of some scams)
There was actually a one-hour long television show on a company just like this the other day!! They were listing/selling "extended warranty" contracts for just about anything on four wheels. Come to find out--the contracts had so many NON-COVERED CLAUSES, they were practically worthless. They were shut down by the FBI and various other govt entities. Apparently, there are more popping up!
DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE THE TIME OF DAY!! ONCE THEY GET YOUR BANKING OR CREDIT INFO THEY WILL BILL YOUR ACCOUNTS UNTIL EMPTY/OVERDRAWN.
They prey on the desperate, elderly and poor folks who worry about their cars breaking down. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!
I love theses calls from them, each time they call i play along with them with every question. When it comes to them wanting me to buy the warranty,, I inform them i haven't owned the car for three years (which is true), to funny, love pissing them off, please keep calling dumb [***]!!!!
