This is the spam phone number "Can you hear me now?" they want you to say yes so that they can record your voice. Then charge items to you. Here is a link to this number. http://ktla.com/2017/01/26/can-you-hear-me-sc ... up-immediately/
Got this call Jan 30, 2017 at 4:05pm. I didn't understand who was calling so I asked him to repeat it, some cruise line that ended with the word Seas. Then he said "can you hear me" and of course I said "yes"! It soon became evident that it was a recording because he was answering my questions with "uh-huh" and "I see" etc. that had no relevance to what I was saying. He said I could take this 4 day cruise for free and all I had to do was to tell my friends about it. Now I hear on the news, that they can bill me for items that I did not order and can use my "yes" as proof that I did. HOWEVER, I never gave them an address or a credit card# so can they really do that? The advice was to call the police dept., which I did, they don't take these things over the phone and wanted to send an officer out. I didn't want that at this time of day, so at my convenience I will stop at the PD and talk with them. What do you think? Will I get billed for something and how can they do that if I didn't give them any info?
I have been in the legal field for 25 years! Asap, please notify your credit card company so they can block this charge if any appears! Be sure to file a police report by keeping great records and telling them the time and all information u have! When unknown numbers call u, answer if u want but say nothing! This acts like a block on your phone and they stop calling pretty soon. It works great for us!!!
I got this call today on January 31, 2017. A very bad recording told me they were from some law firm and that they were following up on a possible case regarding my possible fraudulent ownership of my property of record and that I needed to call them or press 1 to connect me with this firm. LOL! I hung up immediately, but thought I would check the number. The give away was that they never sited my name...and that it was a recording and a very sloppy one. All kinds out there.
