I got the same call today but it didn't show up as 911 it showed up as the phone # itself and I got the same voicemail as everyone else that if I didn't call back in a timely manner I would be arrested. So I called back & they were claiming I had taken out an online payday advance and I was being charged with 3 class 3 felonies and it scared me to death as well. So I called my bank & they went back to when I had opened my account & looked all through it & I had never gotten a direct deposit payday loan, so I called my lawyer and was told right then that it was a SCAM & not to give them any information or anything she said they do not have any real information they are just trying to get your credit card or debit card information..
I received a call yesterday. Not from this number. The number that showed up on my caller id was the local police dispatch (I found out later). I was driving so the call went to voicemail. It was from a Violet Watson. She identified herself as a state county sheriff with a warrant for my arrest. She stated I needed
to call her back at 201-942-2840 or turn myself in immediately to my local police. She had the address of the PD and everything. So I did just that and they called her. She immediately put them on hold when they identified themselves and never came back. When they called back and I called from my cell phone all calls immediately went to a voicemail. Obviously they had caller id and had now flagged my calls. So somehow they are routing their calls so they now show up as local on people's caller id. This way people are more likely to answer not thinking it is a bill collector or tele marketer and then they try to scare you into sending money.
I got a call from this number at home and I did not call back. They proceeded to call our employee service line and told them that I need to go turn myself in at the Sheriff's Office and gave me their address. I called them back and they had me on HOLD for a long time. She said she was Officer Alice Watson with the Federal State Bureau of New Jersey. Lots of Legal mumbo jumbo. I request everything in writing and she said they had tried to contact me through email and I had not responded so they did not have to provide with anything else. They mentioned United Cash Lonas and they seem to be a scam also. I asked for an address and I got the following:
