Just got a call from 201-991-8699. Said they were with Microsoft Support and wanted to check inside my computer and make sure everything was running right. Had me hit the windows key and asked what it said. I said you need to write this down. Spelled out to him y-o-u a-r-e a s-c-a-m. I said to read it back to me and he hung up. LOL
A guy with a strong India voice, calming to be Facebook tech support , told me my computer has a virus, I told him i was 78 and was going just with speech lol just a bit ..then after 10 mins I just said FU He got so pissed and hanged up. Hahahahahah I really work for tech support IT for a company so please do not fall for this crap! They have no idea what ISP you have. They just want to remote setup; so they can hack into your computer so please tell everybody! And they spoof the call so I think they are calling out of the US.
When he told me to type the Windows and R key, I responded that a strange thing happened. It showed a phone number. It was his mother's phone number. I asked him how fulfilling the job is and how long he has worked at this scamming company. Seven years. Poor thing. He really ought to find a job that uses his skills in a more positive way.
