Glad to know this, I suspected it was some sort of scam and even after the person with the heavy accent trying to pressure me , I hung up on them. Wonder if anyone has reported this phone number to the attorney generals office yet?
I have just got of the phone again from this scam,, just learning it is a scam. BUT YES,, I did turn this in to the State of Missouri Attorney General's office 'Chris Koster" and did it just the other day and now, as i get off of here, I am gonna turn in 2 more separate complaints to him and notify him what i am seeing on the internet and many people are getting hit by this guy. this guy called me 2 times today and I got mad both times and hung up on him and i got mad at him the other day to and hung up even after telling him I thought this was a scam.
What a great first-hand info piece! That number has called me a few times, but I never answer. They are so dumb they leaving messages on my voice mail box saying "helow? helow? helow?" (hello with a deep accent), and another one they said " if you have mouth, speak up". What dumb-dumbs.
I had .the same thing happen .to me 5 times .they said sit .in front .of your computer. so I can fix your computer. I said nothing .is free .so leave me the hell alone or I will call .the cops .she said you .are lying I said crooks like you should go .to jail...She got made .and hung up .heres .the number watch out .1-376-969-3048
This happened to me. The first time I called what I thought it was my security co. and they charged me $300. Then several months later they called to refund and wanted to control my computer again. I told them that computer crashed even though it was brand new and No they couldn't have control of my computer. Then tonight the first people called back again to REPORT hackers and wanted control again. I hung up! He said I would have hackers wherever I used my e-mail address! Is this true and how do I report them?
