Sounds like the little guy who called and said the federal govt was giving me 8000 dollars. I asked which fed govt, mine or his.? I blocked his number.
Call received again today. Heavily accented make voice. Couldn't pronounce my 1st name correctly &!its an easy one ! Told him to stop callng, that never requested a call and when I tried to call back with my own phone number blocked I got "your number cannot be completed as dialed". I also told this jerk I was reporting him to police for harassment & he still kept talking !!! BIG FAT SCAM !!! Now added to my ever growing list of scam phone numbers.
Received call today 3/02/16 Was told that I was eligible for a federal grant of 11,500.00 dollars. He listed a series of questions as to see if I was eligible- Have I not claimed bankruptcy in the past 12 months, have a criminal record in the past 12 months, and am I current on my tax returns. Than he asks for my bank routing number to deposit the money within 3 hours, or if I have any type of credit card give them the number and they would deposit on my account, than the last was if I have neither of these than they could send it western union, but I would need to pay 230 dollars to receive the money. I figured it was a scam as the federal government would contact us directly and they would not charge for a pickup fee.
