They did the same to me on Tuesday the 7th. They insisted saying that I had not reported my taxes since 2010. I asked them to confirm the last 4 digits of my social and the IRS Doc number. When I asked for this they guy just hung up. He had a Hindi accent, by the way.
Got three calls from different DC and TX phone numbers about my computer having a virus. Told the Bangladesi woman that she was a scammer and that I was going to hang up and block her number. She got very angry and said that she would just call me back again on another number. And she did three times. She was very threatening and said I was a "cheater" ( not sure what that meant), but she was seriously unwell and (IMO) could be dangerous. Do not answer this number or 512-712-6579. Same irate scary woman on both. There should be a law against this! Told her I was on the Do Not Call list and she said she didn't care.
Rude, pushy, obnoxious...tried to tell me my computer had a virus. I responded by saying I don't even have a phone. A couple of seconds of perplexed silence later, I hung up. Several calls followed.
