Call displayed Unknown on my mobile phone caller ID. Oddly it showed up without the country code prefix so it looked odd in my missed call listing with the parentheses out of place. Could indicate a spoofed number. I never answer calls if I don't recognize the number and unfortunately I have been getting bombarded lately. I'm receiving 3-4 calls a day from different numbers reported as scams/telemarketers. Prior to this year I received them every 3-4 months.
Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers.
If they have any of your financial information, account numbers, banking location, bank name and so forth, it's important that you change out those accounts immediately.
