I just got the same call. "David Cooper" from the US government grab department who said my number came up for a $9000 grant I never have to pay back and don't have to pay taxes on. Me asked age, marital status, and job status. He also said he didn't need anymore info from me to send me the money. Then he asked for my card number to send the money to and they would wait on the phone until the money had cleared. Wow! They're getting ballsy!

Could barely understand what he was saying and when he got to the point of saying I could get a $9000 grant, pay no taxes and not pay the grant back, well needless to say I got off the phone quickly. My phone is also unlisted, on the do not call list, so how do they get our number. I never use the number he called on any paper work of any kind. If they are going to represent the US Govt. at least sound like you are from the US!
This is always why I have 3 or four old VISA gift cards or debit cards with like a green dot Debit cards sitting around. I act like i fall for their scam and give them one of the cards then after they try to hi it a couple of times then you have them you hang up and report them to local or FTC.. They have to use a merchant account number that will give the authorities the info they need to get them.. There is NO RISK to me because the card they get is not in my name and only has a buck or two on it. I love messing with people they can hit that damn card 150 times and it will never show any money on it, LOL
