Just received the same call. Ironically I was in DC last week. He said I won a 9k grant for paying my taxes on time from the German government. when I said great, he claimed I was mocking him, and withdrew my grant. I tried calling back went to voicemail.after reading the comments year I will not be calling back
Same just happen to me a guy with a heavy Asian accent that he was from the government grant dept that I won $9000. I told him ok send it to me he hang up
I got the same call telling me that I was randomly selected by the US treasury to receive $9000.
knowing it was some type of scam I tried to play along but , I guess I sounded to agreeable so he hung up before I could tell him my SS# is 123-45-[***] OFF .
I too am on do not call list but somehow they get them once in a while; just advise your cell ph provider and they can block it. I have Verizon and will do so immediately.
If you have been on the 'do not call' list for 31 days, then you can report the number. I've done this with several calls and they have all stopped :). Good luck.
