I got a call from this number from Lt. Rice stating he was calling from the Drug Enforcement Office in Washington DC. After reading these posts I knew it was a scam. When I called them back and refused to give my name he said to have my lawyer call them and hung up on me. When I called back two or three times they stopped answering. I'm gonna call back saying I'm an attorney. What [***]! I can see how they could scare people but if you listen they say Drug Enforcement Office not Agency.
I recieved a call from Lt. William Rice this morning. He stated that I was being charged for ordering adipex in 2007. He said I would have to goto a drug treatment came for 3-6 months or be on probation for a year. I called my parents absolutely terrified.
I am so mad at myself for being stupid and them for continuing to get away with this.
jennifer, i got a call this morning also, saying the exact same words to me. we got disconnected and he called back. said i could go to jail, that iam being tried in federal court in washington dc for something that dominican republic is charging me with. I let him talk, then said i don't think you remember but we've already spoke, and i have contacted my lawyer, and in the US,i don't have to have a lawyer, so if you have you are filing against me i have to right to see them. He then asked for my fax number and said the papers with charges would be sent to me via fax this afternoon. they are so bad they don't even remember who they have already tried to scam. altough this time he added more charges and the fine was different.
I just got off the phone with this same guy....Lt. William Rice. He left me 2 messages today saying they intercepted drugs I ordered back on 2007/2008...???? Now I have a court date of July 23rd?!?!? I can pay $950 to DR or go to court in Washington DC!! I asked why I haven't received anything in rriting regarding this and he said they tried to send paperwork but I never responded, so he was giving me a "courtesy call". WTH!?!? We got disconnected...lol. So i called him back and told him I didn't know what he was talking about (I was in tears) and to please send me some paperwork so I would know what to do. He was very rude and said it'll be here tomorrow and hung up on me????
