I have received emails from Briggs Law Firm as well. Once in October and again last week and this morning. In October it was from James Dickerson and last week and today from William Spear, both claiming to be Senior Executives with the law firm. They say I owe $1250 to United Personal Loans and a suit will be filed against me in court. When I googled the Washington DC address, nothing comes up and no one answers the phone number associated. This is very scary and I'm really not sure what I should do.
I have asked several questions and researched under Briggs Law Firm. No lawyer by that name listed. They sent me two separate emails within the last several weeks. A scam in the works I would say.
Whenever someone tells you that they are a "lawyer", the first question you should ask is what state(s) they are registered in and their BAR number for that/those state(s). Then go to that state and check them out. Now read my other post.

Well e mail is not a valid form of communication, and what you can do is read my other post, because all the answers you need are in there. All you have to do is read, use the links to learn and report.
