I have received emails from Briggs Law Firm as well. Once in October and again last week and this morning. In October it was from James Dickerson and last week and today from William Spear, both claiming to be Senior Executives with the law firm. They say I owe $1250 to United Personal Loans and a suit will be filed against me in court. When I googled the Washington DC address, nothing comes up and no one answers the phone number associated. This is very scary and I'm really not sure what I should do.

I have researched it no one by that see t that law firm.
They try to pass it off as legit, and do a pretty good job of it. I called them and they requested a ref number and would not go forward without it. regrettably some of these scammers have their [***] together.
I have received threatening emails from this man and despite repeated attempts to obtain information, as I was a victim of identiy threat - I have received nothing but more threats. I am glad I found this site. Everyone this man contacts should file information - I am certainly doing so. Thank you for providing this information.
Repeated emails stating I owed $1250 and better pay up or else lawsuit would move forward with fees going up to more than $8000. I asked for details of this alleged loan and they refused to provide details.
