Just got the same message from an Officer Brian Lincoln. First he said Office Brian, then he said Office Lincoln. Needs to make up his mind. Yes, he also had an accent and said he was calling from the Department of Revenue, Taxation and that my house was being investigated. Who are these people??????
Exactly the same story as the previous post. In the mid afternoon of Jan. 9th, 2015, 2 Messages left on my answering machine from "Officer Peter Schmidt (or smith?), Inspector General with the U.S. Treasury tax administration". He spoke with a foreign accent. He had a legal case filed (number CM100144) for me that he needs my name/address. He gave me this number to call back. How come he has a legal case filed for me without knowing my name and address? It's obviously a scam.
I received the exact same message on my home voicemail. "Officer" Peter Smith had a foreign accent and used the exact case number as others on here have posted.
I received a message saying that there was a warrant issued against my name and my property. officer kevin jackson. I almost choked on my water i laughed so hard at this scam. the IRS sends letters in the mail and do not call.
