My panasonic phone has a call block feature, but the memory is maxed out at 30, so we get several calls a day from this "Sam Horton". I checked out Conservative Majority Fund on Opensecrets.org and found that in the 2012 election cycle, they sucked $2.8 million from people who actually answered these calls and believed their pitch. Sadly, Opensecrets.org also shows that, of that $2.8 million raised, $1.3 went to a company called "infocision management". Guess what? That's the company making the robocalls!!! You can go to http://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/lookup2.php?cycle=2012&strID=C00524454 and see how they wasted the other $1.5 million. There are plenty of laws against this sort of thing, but people like this will always find ways to get around them. Let the buyer be ware!!! If you want to give $ to something, save it for causes and candidates you actually know, and give it directly to them.
