I got a call from this creep yesterday Oct 5, 2015. Told me the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me for an audit done on taxes from 2008-2013. Told me if i did not pay he would send the Federal Marshall to get me, put me in jail and seize all my assets. He told me his name was William James from the Treasury Dept in Washington DC. Badge # IRM 293471. What a CREEP.
Actually, the same person called from 2 different numbers. One called from 206-855-3135 and another from 202-239-6535. What creeps. They told me that if I didn't pay $3,000 to the supposed "IRS" I would be arrested by federal marshals. He said his name was Simon Baker and then Kevin Brown. His fake badge id # was irm1991 .
This person saying I am from IRS and you have not paid for last two years. Then I told them that I did not received a letter from your office regarding this issue. That they told me that if you don't pay up police will take you away. And the they told me what can do go to bank and get $2500.00 cash then give us a call on this number ( 206-973-7946 ) ( 202-239-2494 ) ( 202-239-6535 ) and make sure you don't tell nobody about it. Which I did not done it because my friend told me this is a SCAM.
It is a scam. If you owed taxes or penalties, the real IRS would contact you via mail - they would not call you, nor would they demand immediate payment. Glad your friend stopped you from making a very expensive mistake!
