They called today. Offered me $7800. Could not indicate source of grant money. Asked for $250.00 through western union. Said his name was John parker (202)697-9989. Really an indian guy with the name john parker. I should have asked him if he knew buckaroo bonzai! Trying to figure out how to mess with them back. I'd love to ruin the day of a scam artist.
I received a call from an unknown source, that said I would receive $7,000 for rent from government grant money. I figured it was a scam right away, because I was given a 202-738-4154 number that no one answered and I did a reverse phone number check and it's a vontage internet phone number! What idiot would fall for that scam! Not me, that's for sure! The name of the person to contact is Al Gibbs and he didn't even answer! Please people don't fall for these kind of scams on the innocent!
I just received a call on my cell phone from unknown number that said that I had been selected to receive Federal Government Grant Money in the amount of $8400.00 because I had always paid my taxes on time and had never filed Bankrupcy. The guy want a Walmart card number or credit card to put money on and if I did not have that they wanted my Bank account number so they could do a simple online transfer to my account. Of couurse I did not give them any information but they seemed to have a lot of my personal information anyway such as home address and phone number.
He told me to call back and speak with Kevin Foster Account Manager at 202-609-7042.
i got the same kind of call from:208-392-5056.the dude could barely speak english,but he was telling me i had 7,500 in grant money so i listened. he asked if i would like the money in my account or in cash.i said cash and he told me i'd have to go to western union.also he gave me a comfirmation# and told me to call:202-559-7624.when i called the number a woman told me the goverment had done a demographic and i had been chosen to get this money,but when she said i had to send 287.00 dollars to get it i was very disappointed. well i had never got any free money like that before and still haven't.
I got a call from 253-254-7993 person name was james. He said I was eligible for a gov't grant of 50K and he asked for my name (Heywood Jablome) my address 1325 Mockingbird Lane, my bank account and routing number gave him false info. They said they would call me the next day to transfer the money. A woman called me the next day asking for Heywood..............I said who is Heywood (took some time for me to realize she was looking for me, her Indian accent was very thick). I played along and she told me that Bank of America could only wire 42K to me because of some money transfer limit (patently false) and that they would have to send me 8K through Western Union. She then called WU and played a confirmation for me. She then told me that they made the transfer for 8,250, the 250 being a fee donated to charity. This was so I did not have to pay any taxes. I was instructed to go to a WU and send 250 to the charity and then pick up my cash. I went to WU and there was no cash and I lost 250.................Not really I told the woman to Heywood Jablome!!!!
