He called me three times last night at supper time. I first told him he was a fraud and hung up on him. He called 1 minute later and asked why I hung up on him. told him to leave me the f___ along he was a scam and hung up. he called again and I was so pissed, asked him his name. Told me his name was jack and he was calling from Vera Cruz, CA., asked what company he was with, but he hung up fast after that.
Just called twice. Accented woman said she was from Microsoft tech. Told her I didn't have a computer this was a scam and she should be ashamed of herself. Hung up and an accented man immediately called up yelling at me for hanging up on her that it wasn't a scam. I hung up on him. He called back again but I didn't answer.
Received this phone call last week and again today. The caller represenst himself to be with a company contracted with Windows to fix computer problems. He stated that error messages were showing up and for me to get on my computer and he would fix.,. I asked what messages and he repeated the same words as if they were in a script and did not answer my question. I told him to send me an email with his company information, he said he could not do this and I said well you told me you were getting error messages from my computer so you should know my address. I then hung up and he called back 3 times, I did not answer. I have to assume it was a scam.
Some amusement to break up my day. Yes, a scammer. And as stated: From Microsoft in NY he says. Obviously a thick accent of foreign tongue. But delightfully named Jason. Jason was from LLC company and wanted to fix errors they are getting on my computer. He wanted me to press the Microsoft key and "R". He said it would bring up the system configuration and allow him to review my applications and make sure I had them all. I'm assuming he would find that I didn't have some badly needed file and go to a website to download a variety of virus, worms and likely a ransom software. Maybe something that would find my data files and make off with my millions. Was fun aggravating Jason. I made him repeat and repeat. I asked how much he was charging me to fix my machine. I told him I did not believe he, a highly knowledgeable and highly paid computer technician, would work on my computer for free. I argued that I did not want to pay any bills. I had an incoming call and had to hang up on him. PS He asked for me by name and called my cell phone. Hmmmmn? BTW I called the number while he was on the phone. It was some foreign speaking automated answer... maybe Spanish. Hopefully Jason will get a decent job and realize this is just stupid.
