Received an automated recording on my voicemail today, from District of Columbia, Washington. Having a phony number from there doesn't mean it's legit. claiming they're from the IRS, and that there was fraud committed on my taxes that I'm hiding from them, and to call back immediately. Nice try, not as dumb as they look! Get a real job losers! Scammmm!!!!!!

I received the same exact call about 30 minutes ago! A robot sounding recording does not make it sound legit! I am not dumb enough to fall for this scam! Plus the IRS website states that they will contact you by mail before any phone call would ever be made! I'm with you, they need to get a real job and stop scamming people that work hard for what they have!
Received the same phone call and called back, advised the man on the other end of the phone that after researching I found out that he was a scam and would be contacting the IRS myself, the man on the other end of the phone becoming nervous asking me where I read that they were fraud. I advised him I did not have to provide that information. I am on the phone now with IRS to advise them of this.
