Got 3 calls today, every time they could give me no information. Could not even tell me the correct state I live in. They asked my name I said John Smith. They replayed with yes it's you. Then they said they are going to send the police, Q:asked what the wanted A: my attorneys information.
On 1-28-16 at or about 10:35a cst. A recorded call saying "We have been trying to reach you to inform you that we are filing a lawsuit against you. Please contact us as soon as possible. I played along and returned the call. The Indian voice on the other end informed me he was IRS Officer Smith. If I'm not mistaken IRS Enforcement are Agents. Anyway, he asked me my name I replied "you called me and told me to call back, you should know who you called". I began to have fun with six different voices, they kept hanging up on me. I called and spoke with one Indian and asked "Who is the IRS Director and who is the U.S. Attorney General...he placed me on "hold" to ask another person....when I informed him both answers were wrong he hung up. I called back and spoke to another Indian and asked why do you have so much noise in the background, sounds like he was in a casino....he hung up. I called back and spoke with another and asked "Why are you trying scam people?" he hung up. My final call must have hit a nerve because I asked when did the IRS start allowing foreigners to man their phones, from overseas and all their last names are Smith? I inform Patel not to call this number anymore. If I receive any calls from ANY scammers in the future I will call this number and mess with you. I would suggest you contact your the other scammers. He was fit to be tied. He began cussing and I began laughing and hung up. I contacted the FBI and was giving a web address to the IRS....www.TIGTA.gov.....look for a box.....IRS Scam and file your complaint. I hope this helps someone. I got same call yesterday it was funny the irs will not call you they will use snail mail to inform you of anything pending against you lol it is fun to mess with them
