Received an unwanted, unsolicited call from this number to my private cell today. It was a robocall that went to my VMS. The message was: "This case file, please call immediately on our department number 202 375-4789. I repeat 202 375-4789." No other identifying info was given. I "googled the number and found multiple complaints about this number on other sites. There were nine spam complaints within the past 90 days on premium.whitepages.com. Other sites also had complaints. Given the internet search info and the fact that whoever these callers are they choose to hide their Identity, I was left to presume they are likely spammers. I have now blocked them on my cell and home phone.
Scam call about IRS pending lawsuit. Left a voicemail msg that didn't start at very beginning, so a clue that it's a scam. Accidentally called nr back and got a nr not in service msg.
Luckily i was on the other line so it went to VM. "IRS is filing a lawsuit against you..." it says. Called back but call would immediately Cancel on my cell and not ring. Checked the interweb and found all you nice folks to corroborate that they are worthless. Thank you.
Left a vm. Claims to be the IRS and they have filed a lawsuit against me. I need to return their call immediately at (202) 375-4789 to avoid going to court.
