Received call from this number claiming to be IRS agent wanting immediate payment or a Federal arrest warrant would be issued. This is a scam. So happens that I had already received a letter from the IRS regarding additional interest owed. It was a nominal amount-already paid, and the check had cleared the bank. The amount they claimed was far in excess of what I really owed.
Received a call from this number on my cell phone today. A robotic woman's voice said "We have been trying to contact you. This is your final notice. The reason for this call is that the IRS is going to sue you." They asked for a call back at the department number which they gave, but which I didn't write down or even attempt to call back, because it has to be a scam.
Just received incoming call showing up as "private" on phone caller ID. I didn't answer and it rolled to voicemail. The message was a computer female voice -(sounded kind of like Siri) saying to call 202-390-0497 because IRS is filing a lawsuit. Total B.S.!!!! Please don't fall for this garbage.
Got a call form this number. Told the guy my name was M.Mouse and I lived in Orlando Fl. address 4221 disney lane He pulled my tax records and told me I owed $4,900 from 2004 through 2014. kept him on the phone with more nonsensical info for about 5 minutes finally i couldn't stop laughing and hung up. How stupid do they think people are.
Repeated calls of a recorded voice claiming to be the irs, the calls are filtered thru numbers and are NOT the IRS, it is a scam!!! I've gotten several of these calls, same message from other oddball numbers from across the country-now they have just figured out how to tag onto a possible real DC ph number. The IRS will NOT call anyone with any kind of information! If they call you, report them through the consumer complaint websites.
