I got 2 calls from this number. I answered the second and she said can I speak to (my name) buy said it wrong I said this is (my name) who is this and she hung up.. Super weird.
An Indian speaking man asked to speak to me by name and said I am eligible for a $7000 grant from the government that I do not have to repay. I said I'm not interested and hung up on him. This kind of stuff makes me FURIOUS. Do they really think I am that completely stupid???
A fella called me name Austin Smith and he wasn't ready for the questions I asked him. He said the phone call was being recorded what does that have to do with me. Complete scam artists. When tried to call back they just don't pick up.
My son had received one of these calls and tried to get me to loan him the money they said they needed to give him the grant. Of course, I knew it was a scam and checked it out on here to be sure. Well, they just called me and I told them I knew what they were doing was illegal and they immediately hung up...darn, they missed me telling them I would be reporting them immediately! The number that called me is 202-400-5607.
Got the call, Said he was from federal government and said that I was te receive free grant of 7 thousand dollars. The U.S. government does not call people and give free money. Caller sounded like 12 other people where in the same small room calling.
