lol, you obviously have no idea how phone systems work. Phone tunneling via VOIP is certainly possible, but it is NOT possible to receive a phone virus from answering a call. You should probably graduate middle school before posting online.
Caller with broken english/heavy accent maybe Indian claimed to be with general electric. He was asking about smoke alarms and batteries, I hung up without saying anything else.
I was at work yesterday and got a call from this number, I read all theses posts, the caller asked for me by name but then just hung up. I called back and the phone is not in service. I e heard of some scams were they can get ur info when u call back and they steel ur info and charge up all sorts of stuff on ur name. I'm gonna call sprint and notify
Just got a call from this number.... didnt recognize the number.. so i didnt answer it.. and they left a message.. sounded like a young child singing a song with lots of commotion and talking in the background.. and then hung up..
So.. if someone from that company is calling me.. dont bother calling back.. I will NOT answer.. call someone else MORONS!!
I received this call today too. A lady with an Indian accent with a number of 202.417.7606 and I told her nobody gets a government grant without applying for them, in which there is a lot of paperwork involved. I ruined her speech, and she started grasping for things to say. Then she told me that I pay my taxes on time, and I don't have a criminal record right? So I was randomly selected and have four options - pay by credit card, bank account, cash or check? I said," if your paying me then you may do it by cash." She started verifying my name, and then my address: "Your address is XXX?" I said " say again", She says "your house address is XXX", and I said " I have never had a house number by that number ever in my life! If you are the government then you should have my correct house number since I did just pay my taxes more than on time this year!" She said "Uh, oh." then she hung up. Scum bags.
Called a few min. to your MINN number. Asked for wife...when I said I would take a message she said "I'll call back" and hung up. Seems to me from reading the prior messages that the people doing this may have access to the Governmental computers for grants. My wife had a school loan and grant a number of years ago but she is still paying the payments. The conversation was to quick but she seemed to speak English.
I tried to call back and tell her she was a scum bag and should learn some manners but the number is a SPOOF number...
I'm trying the number listed above as well.... I cant think of a way to let the Government School loan people know at Fanny Mae...
