lol, you obviously have no idea how phone systems work. Phone tunneling via VOIP is certainly possible, but it is NOT possible to receive a phone virus from answering a call. You should probably graduate middle school before posting online.
This number has been calling our home multiple times a day for about 2 weeks. Today I answered to see if I could have them stop calling my number and the man tells my fiancee in broken english that he wants to f*** his wife and other nasty comments. If anyone knows how to report this number please let us know!
Even 411.com has ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION about this number. They usually can tell you that it's a landline or a cell phone or SOMETHING during a reverse lookup. But they and Intellus have nothing to say about it.
This makes me wonder if it isn't used by a Skype like service and it's being used by multiple people and/or groups.
In any case, if you get a "offer" from this phone number, DON'T BITE! Given that absolutely nothing is known about this number tells you that it's nothing but TROUBLE you'll be getting if you give the caller your personal information.
I've been getting calls from this number for weeks, but I never answer numbers I don't recognize. They've never left a voicemail, until today. The voicemail was almost a minute long of people talking in the background and a lot of other background news. Then, at the end of the voicemail, the person says a$$hole and hangs up. I wish there was someone I could report these morons too!! That just ticked me off!!
I just received a call from this number also and, like many here, a female with broken english asked for me by name. Once I acknowledged she began her "speech" and do to her accent I assumed it was a telemarketer and interupted her by saying " I cant hear you, I dont have a good signal. She then called me an [***] and hung up. I to got a "not in service" message when I returned the call. Ive been searching the number and found that its a Verizon issued number in the Washington DC area. I also found this page and thought I would share my experience. The number is 202-417-7606.
So just got a call as well from this number, same thing said i won money i never applied for from the government, now come on people why would the GOVERNMENT of all people give away free money to someone. REALLY!! i cant believe someone would actually fall for a scam like this. I asked how she (very broken english, lots of noise in the background) got my information, and she just kept saying they did a survey, when i told her i didnt want the money, she again told me i wouldnt have to pay it back or pay taxes, i told her id didnt want it and to give it to someone else and she just hung up. Call back and the numbers not in service
