Same thing, I noticed the $4.99 charge on my visa credit card for 2 months. I never authorized anything, haven't bought anything online since Christmas. I went to the website www.tryandbuy.com to see what it is and I know I've never been to their website before. Scary how they can get my credit card number. I'm disputing the charges with my bank.
Not called by this number nor did I ever call them etc. Tb * System Mechanic first appeared charging my credit card on June 6, 09 for $4.99. My bank issued me a new credit card number at my request and I was charged again on July 6, 09 for $4.99 on my new account number.
I have been charged 4 times - each time for $4.99. When I called the phone number given by the bank after the charge I was told to leave email address and cancellation would happen through email. I left info 3 different times - no response from company. Bank gave me a new credit # and I am disputing charges.
I am also disputing these charges with my credit card company and it seems to be going in a circle here, every time they charge me i have to fill out this damn sheet telling them what they told me when i contacted them, but its just a damn machine that you get and they never call you back or email you so i have nothing to tell them except these people got a hold of my credit card number somehow and are charging me for things i have not authorized. They issue a temporary credit until the matter is settled but i dont want to have to keep doing this every month for the rest of my life!! who do these [***] think they are!!!
