Message left that IRS was suing me.  Final notice.  Call back.  Never understand why they cannot be stopped.  Nor why IRS makes it so difficult to report.

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. That in and of itself makes it difficult to nab anyone. There are several way's to report this..  File through the FTC, by phone call or go to the web site and file a complaint. The information is below.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

If you try the IRS number - due to high volume they are not accepting calls - so you have to go the the FTC website and file the complaint that goes into the black hole.  These people threatened to steal my car if I didn't pay.  The best way to get rid of them is to tell them you are an attorney.  They will then hang up on you.  But, why do we pay so much taxes for protection from this kind of crap.

There is a report page on the IRS site as well I believe..   Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.  I highly doubt they are gonna fly over here to steal anyone's car considering.. For some reason, and you see the same MO's with the advance fee loan scams , the fake grants, and the Microscammer threads, they get vulgar, nasty, and threatening. For some reason they seem to think this kind of thing impress's us and scares us.  Don't entertain these calls or any of them by calling back. Block em if you have a blocker.

Last I read, India may be on board to crack down on these calls, but you never know and have read nor heard of anything since. Otherwise, we have no jurisdiction in those country's.  You also have to realize, and a lot of people do think like this, that it isn't CSI and things do not get solved in a hour... yeah, some people do think that way according to a report I read in the news awhile back.  It just doesn't work like that in the real world.  Here's some recent articles on the phone calls. The first is really informative...
