The IRS Will NEVER Call you all official communication will only come in the form of a written letter and or if it was real serious you would receive it by CERTIFIED mail ONLY NO Exceptions
Same thing happened to me but when I told him the I gona check with the IRS he told me no you don't need to check because he is the IRS and I told him I gona check any way he hang up on me.
