The IRS Will NEVER Call you all official communication will only come in the form of a written letter and or if it was real serious you would receive it by CERTIFIED mail ONLY NO Exceptions
I received the same call. This person had my phone number, name and address and it was very scary. He also claimed that there was a law suit against be by the IRS and was asking for $5,200.
Same thing .....it's a scam. ...I asked who R U looking for....he asked me for my name,I told him Donald duck....and he was like you're who were looking for.....REALLY ?????? Did he not get it
Received robo call telling me to call 703-469-1967 immediately. I called from another phone to find out who this was.
Person answered with foreign accent saying it was the IRS. I asked for his name. He said Peter. I asked where he was from. He said Wisconsin. I asked how long he lived there. He said he was born there. I asked what was his last name. He said Spencer. Peter Spencer from Wisconsin. He said stop wasting my time and hung up. Hmmm... why would someone from the IRS tell me to stop wasting there time? Can you say SCAM! :)
I was lucky enough to talk to Peter Spencer this morning, too...from Syria, Wisconsin, maybe! And his supervisor, Peter Ball. Two of the stupidest [***] ever! Unreal.
