No legitimate agency will give you a grant over the phone.   Nor will it ask for upfront fees.  In order to get a grant you have to apply for it.

There is the same sort of scam when people call offering loans.  Or you get offers of loans on e-mail.

They will often ask for a green dot money pak as an advance fee.   Don't fall for it.  Total scam.

Advance fee loans are illegal in most American states.

Be ware, take care.  If they scammed you once, they're sure going to try it again.

General rule:   If a person with an Indian accent calls you out of the blue and 1.  Offers you something or 2. threatens you--you know it's a scam.

Just recieved a phone call from some odd number 2783-7475 and told me that I was gratned a loan for $9,000. and all I had to do was call 202-470-6103 to claim it. He couldn't speak english very well so I had to look into it and it brought me here. Just wanted to let everyone know the # that came up on my caller I.D. Hope no one falls for this!!!

Got the same phone call, saying the same thing. That I was awarded $9200 in grant money. Then they ask for money from me when I am a stay at home mom with no income, and they can't take the fee out of my 'grant'? Total scam. Don't fall for this!!! I won't give anyone one cent to get a FREE grant!!!

My mother got the same call from 202-470-6103. I told her Noooo it's a scam!!!

Claimed it was the IRS and they were going to do a tax lien for unpaid taxes.
