What is scary is he had all my personal info; name, address. I asked him to call me back in 30 minutes, and then I turned around and called the number for which he called from and it was not a working number....GO FIGURE
Thank you! I'm currently on the phone with I believe the same guy. Heavy accent and same #. I googled the info he gave and stumbled upon this site. Lolz. I was skeptical because he didn't have my real name just my nickname. I kept asking him how come the us treasury dept does not have this info along with other questions. .he chocked up and picked at his answer. Thanks guy!
Funny, my wife just got the SAME call today! Everything went down exactly as you described it; the pitch, the rouse, the accent, EVERYTHING! So my wife gives me the phone, I ask to speak to a supervisor. Tell why this guy had to audacity to try and CHANGE his accent to sound like someone else!?!?!?! Same dude! So I'm like well I don't feel comfortable giving you that info so how about a website or contact number? Still wouldn't do it; so we hung up. Needless to say he didn't get any of our cash, but the nerve to scam people especially with the way unemployment is and the lack of jobs available is pretty classless at best!
