I'm getting calls from this same number saying I've been selected from the federal government to receive a once in a lifetime free government grant that never has to be paid back of $9,000 because I've paid my taxes on time for a one time refundable fee of $250. Says I can go to my local Western Union. When I told him I looked it up and shows it's a scam and asked what department of the federal government he was associated with, he hung up on me. The guy was Asian and gave me an American name (Jerry Wilson).
Got a call. Didn't answer . . left message, saying lawsuit was being filed against me, etc., and if I - or my attorney didn't respond in a timely fashion, it was "good luck," REALLY??? What a-holes!
They leave voice mails saying The moment you receive this message I need you and your retained attorney of records to return the call The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive My number is 202-552-6651 Do not disregard this message and do return the call Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you Goodbye
Got a similar call from this number today. I didn't pick up and they left a voice mail implying that I needed to call them back immediately to avoid legal action. They added the same b.s. language that if I don't call them back "Good Luck" with the consequences. Scum and scam. Somebody needs to bust their chops as I can see where this could scare the hell out of less-informed people...especially the elderly.
