This person said they were from Quickbooks and needed to upgrade our program. Quickbooks never calls to upgrade. If you are a quickbooks user they send you a notification through the program. This person wanted access to our computers and they are from District of Columbia. Did not speak good english at all. I asked them to hold while i called quickbooks to see exactly what it is that quickbooks was trying to upgrade and if the person on the phone could please hold. He said yes he would hold and hung up. This is a scam or even a hacker so careful people.
Calls in two variations of the number: 011-202-555-0163 and 202-555-0163 multiple times a day and knows my name, number, address and told me that I was being hacked and that I needed to turn my computer one and tell him where it was located. I hung up after that.
I gave access to these people and after I realized and disconnected everything they have called me at least 4 times a week. How can I get them to stop calling me.
