They called my cell phone twice. First time I picked up and it was a foreigner that stated something about PC issues. I hung up. I did not pick up the second time but no message was left
I had fun with this one. I was given the same "Your computer has been hacked, etc. etc." I told the heavily-accented voice on the other end of the line my computer was turned off - let me fire it up; this might take a few minutes as the computer is rather old (11 years-old w/ Windows XP as OS - I did not pass on this info.). It took a while to start up...I went through her rigamarole & was told I must have done something wrong as she was not detecting computer activity on my end. I told her maybe that was because my computer hadn't been online in 5 years. She asked me why I was wasting her time & I asked her if her family knew what she did for a living. She hung up on me.
I had trouble keeping a straight face through the whole thing.
I got a call from this NumbeR and person with Indian Accent said something about my Computer . I told Idiot that my computer didn't send any messages and person Hung Up .
Nov 6, 2015, around 12 noon, called, said it's been reported there's something wrong with my computer. I asked who are you trying to reach, what name do you have? He hung up.
This foreign sounding dude has called several times before and this time I answered it. He advised me they have received notice my computer had been hacked. I promptly told him if he receives any further notice from whomever, to tell them HI for me, then I hung up!! Like I am going to fall for sh__, yeah..........
