They called my cell phone twice. First time I picked up and it was a foreigner that stated something about PC issues. I hung up. I did not pick up the second time but no message was left
Caller with foreign accent said someone in NY had gotten my personal info. He said he was with Windows tech support and could help me find out who hacked my computer if I would get in front of my computer. I told him to go to hell and hung up. He STILL called back an hour later on a different phone!
Called under the premise my computer was being hacked. Since my computer is not connected to the Internet I knew it was a scam. Played along with him...middle eastern accent. Wanted me to press my control then windows keys and then key in a sequence of numbers. When he asked me what I saw on my screen, I told him I saw a rug sniffer kissing his canel's [***]. I did tell him to have a nice day.
"Jonathan" from "Tech Squad" called, said my computer was being hacked, wanted access to my computer to protect it. Didn't introduce himself or company first. Gave me a false return phone number. I've had these calls for months, from both males and females, all with Indian accents.
Got a call from an Indian with badly broken english telling me my PC had a virus. I played along...until I started having trouble understanding his commands. Then he passed off to another guy with better english and we continued...for 18 minutes! I let them take me through various system settings and tell me how various entries in the system logs on my computer were the "very bad viruses" and that the "information" entries in the log were the hackers getting into my computer. I kept them going until they had me go to a site (www.supremocontrol.com) to, I assume, remote in to my computer to do God knows what. Then it was time for dinner so I told them that I was just f'ing with them. Then the guy says he'll come F me up! HA!! Imagine Rajesh Koothrappali from Big Bang saying he's going to F you up. HA HA...that's rich!
