Getting daily calls from this number or others on the list Chris posted above. It's obviously a robo-call. They are clogging my message system with hangup calls. I seldom answer the phone unless I know who it is. What a nuisance!
After getting at around 2 calls per day from this number for the last two weeks and not answering I decided to listen to a call in the hopes that if I picked up the call that might lessen the number of future calls, but I doubt that it will have much effect on that.
The robo-call recording consisted of about a one sentence statement from Romney that was probably yanked out of a CNN (or other network) newscast and now is being used in these calls. The rest of the recording was a man speaking very fast (to the point of almost blabbering) and essentially saying something about the great amount of money that was raised yesterday and how much more needs to be raised today -- he called it "money bombs", I think. Then at the end I was given the choice of pressing 1 to donate or pressing 9 to not receive further calls -- I didn't do either as I suspect doing anything would increase the chances of even more calls. These are illegal calls because they give neither the name of a sponsoring organization nor a contact number as required.
If you like Romney, then don't donate to these blood-sucker scamming a-holes because his campaign will never see a dime of what they collect. If you don't like Romney, at least don't blame him for these calls.
