Some middle-east call - a guy he said that I was one out of the 1500 people that they pick that will rec'd a 8400 dollars frm the government, he knew my name. So I said to him how come I have not heard this on TV and how can the government give out money if they are slashing the federal government workforce, he also said because I done my taxes on time which I have not done my taxes yet (which I never told him that it wasn't done). all I heard was a click
This is my second time receiving a call from this number. The first time I picked up the indian sounding guy asked if I would go back to school if I was giving grant money. Second time few weeks later when I pick up I was immediately disconnected after hearing a weird computerized sound in the back. Obvious scam i mean you don't get something for nothing in America and the number sticks out like a sore thumb. Seems someone got a hold of a database that know who's not in school.
Reminds me of that time I was the "1 millionth" person on a website and I was promised that free IPad I never got.
My advice to people is be careful what websites and offers you give your number to. Whether its a job application or a sign up for free daily emails. This brings Phishing to a whole new level.
This Indus S.O.B. call me yesterday to inform me that I was awarded a grant from the Federal Government and that it was free and did not have to pay them or the Federal Government a penny back. It was $8,000.00 however I needed to claim it know by using a credit or debit card or checking account so they could transfer the money as soon as possible. Them I told him if he was calling from India or Washington D.C. he said from the great capital of t he U.S.A. I told him that he was a rip-off and that he call the wrong person, then he curses me out.
They come to our country to still and get what is not there’s they need to get out of our country as soon as possible and go to hell does S.O.Bs.
They called my phone and started up with that same [***] about the grant. I waited till he finished with what he was saying then i told him i know who u are and im looking at u now and im going to kill u and your family today and there is nothing u can do about it. They hung up and i havent heard from them since.
