Received a call from the number stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against my physical address. The supposed IRS representative provided his name, badger number and case ID number. The guy threatened criminal fraud charges due to "outstanding miscalculated tax amount", arrest warrant, liens against property, freezing bank accounts. Crazy stuff. And he was quite forceful. However, all would be resolved should I just pay the outstanding amount. SCAM!!!
Just received a vm that IRS is filing lawsuit against me and physical address is under state investigation. Actually called back from a line that blocks caller ID. After approximately 30 rings, it switched to a busy signal. Clearly a scam.
Got a call from this number, claims the irs is filing a lawsuit against me and my physical address. Problem is THE IRS NEVER CALLS YOU!!! Ever!!! Don't be a fool and fall for it, do not call them back and give them ANY information!!! This is 100% a scam. If you are worried that it's not a scam and you might be in trouble, call the IRS YOURSELF!!! Look up the actual number to the IRS, not the number they called and they will also tell you that it is a scam
I received an automated call from an unknown Washington DC number, and the caller left a message. The voice was a female, robotic voice, stating “final notice IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you and your physical address is under state investigation. To get more information about this case filed, please call immediately on our department number 202-697-9051." Lawsuit? Not a call to look at my tax records? and "State" investigation? Isn't the IRS Federal?
