I just had the same type of call come to my office. If I had not pulled up this website while I was still on the phone with them, they might have succeeded in their little scheme. I am curious to know, where is everyone from? I got this call in Marietta, GA.
This number has been calling me everyday for about 2 weeks. Whenever I answer the phone, they hang up. It shows up on my caller ID as 202-715-0902. I did a search on this number and came up with this website. I know the 202 area code is in Washington DC. I've tried calling the number back and get a recording that this mailbox is not accepting calls. I'm fed up! I called my phone company Embarq in Florida and they said for an additional $5.00/month, I could block this number. It seems wrong to me that I'd have to pay $$ to stop being harrassed. What can we do about these calls!
Well got another phone call again today. I guess it's an everyday annoyance. When I answer, an immediate hang-up. Besides not answering the phone there's nothing else I can do, unless I want to spend the $5.00/mo. to block the call. Very frustrating.
Have been getting calls at home from this # for weeks and like everyone else there never an answer. Googled the # and this web site (800notes) was one of the options. Does anyone have any ideas other than spending money to stop this harassment?
Caller was from "American Yellow Pages". Wanted to verify my company name and billing address. Presumably to include in a collection of names and addresses to be sold to other telemarketers.
