They called my mother in law saying she was going to recieve a government grant for $8500 but wanted a $260 deposit to receive the grant. She asked them if they could send her more information and they started yelling at her. When she said it sounded like a scam they really got offended. We found out that they want you to call them when you go to a money gram so they can tell you how to "get your grant money". They told her to go to the money gram store with her picture id and the deposit in cash. It's such a scam and they had all of her information which is what made her think maybe it was real because she had applied for grants in the past.

a lady called me from 25485 saying I had been picked for a free $8500 government grant to call this number 2027381577 and give them a code then he said to receive your money you have to send 250 to register with government to receive grant when I told him to take it out of the 8500 he said he couldn't so I said I'm not giving you money you could be a fraud he told me to shut up and listen to him I said prove your with government he said your not listening you need to stop talking and listen I got mad and told him to shut up and listen I'm not giving any money cause he is a fraud he hung up on me.
Said it was the us government n they were gonna give me a 8500 grant but I needed to give a 280 deposit I'm here at the store about to deposit it good thing I found this website before I lose the last $300 bucks I have
