I received this same call stating I had won $9000 from the government. Do not agree to the arrangement they offer of depositing $250 in order to verify your identity haha. It is a huge scam people. Hang up the phone and don't give your information to them. While I'm here I may as well inform you of another scam that I believe are from the same people. They call claiming to be from either Dell or Windows Security about your home computer. They claim that you are having a security problem and that they received a report. Do not give them any information! They want to access your computer to obtain your personal information. DO NOT allow them to install or update anything on your computer (they will try through remote access or by email). Hang up the phone and block their number. You're welcome.

These ppl are scams. You play nice with them and they are good. But when you start asking legitimate questions they start getting ugly with you. It's a scam and they are rude. I asked them hots can I verify their company they said done sorry answer about how they are not a scam and so on and so forth that she's been working with the company for so long. I said how come all of you have accents then she started to say ma'am if you don't want this free money nobody is forcing you....then she started getting rude. These are no good ppl. Please don't believe them!!!!!!!!

Received call on my cell phone. No caller id. Caller had
thick accent, very poor English. Said I won a $9000 "US
Government Grant". Transferred to a supervisor who also had
a thick accent but with better English.

Congratulated me on being a "regular tax payer" with "no
criminal record". Repeated I won a $9000 US Government
Grant by lottery at random. Asked for my name and zip
code. I provided incorrect information.

Knew only my cell phone number and town I live in (which was
incorrect). I looked up my cell number using google. The
city listed (same as given by caller) is where I purchased
the cell phone not where I live.

Was given a "Grant ID" number. Told to call 202-657-5337
within 45 minutes to claim my "free government grant"
money. Never called back. Have called me several times over
several days insisting they are legitimate but refusing to
answer my questions unless I call them back (probably to get
my phone caller ID for starters). Told them they are a scam
and to google their own call back number.

I cannot imagine the US Government having this program.

This is clearly a scam.

Got a call from unknown number giving me a confirmation number and this number to call. It was for a free 9000 dollars grant. As soon as they ask for name i asked for what other info they needed.  Lady got frustrated and said she needed my name to pull up my info. I hanged up. Looked up the phone number and no government agency came up. They claim to be part of the tresury. They all had accents and tried hard to speak proper English.
