Thank you so much for that info. I received the same call talking about a lawsuit. I have other people living in my home and they did not say exactly who they wanted. I figured it was a SCAM. I did not return that call.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
robot call announcing that the IRS is filing suit against me, and that I need to call this number. Every time I pay my taxes by mail I get one of this weird calls, I wonder if they have a tap in the mail?
got a call from 721-422-5657 claiming the same issues listed above. That it was "final notice to notify me" (never got a call from them before in my life) and that the "IRS was filing lawsuit against me" pretty sure that's not the English that would be used if it was truly a message from the IRS... oh and the fact that the IRS clearly states on their website that they would only notify you via snail mail - never via a phone call. The recording told me to call back 206-569-4739
