I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.
But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:
Report them to your states Attorney. I know in my state (Arizona) I have made a formal complaint and they are pursuing it. If enough people complain, they will go after. I was even called to testify on another case where a company had called me over 100 times in a two week period. It is worth taking the steps to punish these people.
I know they started calling my cell phone after I'd put it down on a car loan app. that the dealership ran thru Equifax. One of spam callers told me they get buy their lists from Equifax when I asked how he got my cell number. I think Equifax needs to be sued for selling lists with phone numbers that are on the Do Not Call Registry... how do I get that started, I wonder?? Their website has no real contact us info on it... just a form to fill out. I've done that, several times. I hate Equifax as much as these spam callers!!!
