I just got a call from this number at 7:27 am CST. The number left a message saying call back it was very important. I called back and found it strange the phone just rang. I decided to Google the number and found this BLOG. Thank GOD for the internet. :-)
Just got a call from this number. Female voice: IRS has a lawsuit against me. I called the number and some Indian-sounding guy called. I asked where he was really calling from and he said Pakistan! Anyway, I talked with him for 5 minutes- he was polite- and we both knew it was a scam. I asked who to make the check out to and he said 'The White House,' so at least he has a sense of humor! I told him to stop trying to scam people and get a real job, because he sounded like a good kid. He told me there simply weren't any 'good' jobs around- so he's stuck trying to make a living doing this.
About the details- he told me the local sheriff was coming to arrest me. I told him the sheriff was my next door neighbor and that we had dinner together just two days ago. He then told me I would go to prison. I told him our state had no prisons. Silence (but lots of talking in the background.) He gave up trying to get money out of me and we just started talking. Don't give out any personal information and don't validate anything he tells you and you'll be fine.
